Our Approach
Therapy at Saguaro Counseling is an open and honest conversation, centered on what matters most to you. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all sessions. We meet you where you are and shape the work around your goals, personality and pace.
Every session is designed to feel comfortable and collaborative, giving you a space to explore, reflect and build understanding without judgment. We hold space for the messy, the meaningful and everything in between, offering services that support your mental health through every season of life. Our role is to help you find clarity and confidence where life feels uncertain.
Therapy here isn’t about fixing something wrong with you; it’s about being understood, supported and empowered to make meaningful change in your own way.
Saguaro Counseling offers telehealth services for adults and teens across Texas and California, and we’re currently accepting new clients.

We provide individual therapy, couples and family therapy, and telehealth sessions for adults across Texas and California. Whatever brings you in, you’ll find thoughtful care that meets you with understanding and respect.

Couples & Family Counseling
Healthy relationships don’t just happen; they’re built. Whether you’re navigating communication issues, building trust or adjusting to change, therapy can help create understanding and strengthen connection.
Telehealth Sessions
All services are offered virtually through our secure telehealth platform, allowing you to fit therapy into your life with ease and consistency. Whether you’re at home, at work or anywhere in between, telehealth makes it possible to prioritize your mental health without extra travel or stress.

Adults & Older Teens
While we adore kids, our practice is focused on working with adults and teenagers. These years often bring a mix of evolving relationships, growing responsibilities and ongoing self-discovery. We support clients through careers, relationships, identity issues and the constant balancing act between them.
Specialties & Modalities
Saguaro Counseling integrates a range of therapeutic approaches to meet each client’s unique needs. Each therapist brings her own perspective, training and personality to the work, creating a multifaceted practice that adapts to you. This diversity is one of our greatest strengths, allowing us to meet a wide range of needs.
We encourage you to read through our therapist bios to get a sense of each clinicians’s style and approach. Finding the right fit is an important part of the process, and we’re here to help you connect with the right therapist.

FAQ
Can we meet in person?
No. We’re strictly a telehealth practice. Sessions take place via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform so you can meet from the comfort of your home or wherever you have privacy.
Does your practice offer medication management?
No. We focus solely on therapy, but we collaborate closely with several trusted prescribers who also accept insurance. If you’re interested in adding medication support, your therapist can provide referrals.
How do telehealth sessions work?
Before each session, you’ll receive a private link to access your online appointment. Many clients find that meeting via telehealth makes it easier to fit therapy into their busy life.
How do I know which therapist is right for me?
Each therapist’s profile outlines her background, approach and areas of focus. If you’re unsure what therapist(s) may be right for you, reach out through our contact form. We’re happy to help you find a good fit.
Do you work with minors?
We primarily work with adults. Occasionally, we may work with older teens who are reliable, consistent with appointments, and able to find private space for sessions. Because we’re fully virtual, telehealth must be an appropriate fit.
Do you offer evening or weekend appointments?
Availability varies by therapist, and some offer limited evening or weekend appointments depending on their schedule. Sessions are offered by appointment only, so please reach out to ask about current availability.
What happens in the first session?
The first session is a chance to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what brings you in, discuss your goals for therapy and what your treatment might look like.
Will you write me a letter so I can have my dog in my apartment?
No. We no longer write emotional support animal (ESA) letters, as our liability insurance doesn’t cover that service. If your primary goal is obtaining letters for housing, work or school accommodations, we’re not the best fit. Our practice focuses on long-term, ongoing mental health care for clients ready to do meaningful therapeutic work.
